Beyond Identity stands for a platform that seeks to shift perspectives in contemporary intercultural dialogue through subjective experience and face-to-face encounters. The project’s origins lie in an initiative by designer Andrea Rauschenbusch to establish cooperative ties between the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of the Arts Bremen and the faculties of Applied Arts and Art Education at Helwan University Cairo.
